Johanne Lykke (b.1989) is a Danish visual artist living and working in Copenhagen. Lykke produces floral watercolor paintings that examine our emotional sensitivity and intuitive reltationship with nature. Her work investigates the spiritual potential of flowers through a holistic approch towards connecting the duality of nature regarding life and death, bloom and decay, vulnerability and strength.
Lykke is graduate from The Jutland Art Academy in Aarhus, Denmark (2015) and BHQFU in New York (2014). She has lived and worked across Europe, the US and South-East Asia and has been an artist-in-residence at Rimbun Dahan, Malaysia (2019), OBRAS Portugal (2017) and Residency Unlimited in New York (2014). Her work has been included in several international exhibitions among “Dead Ripe II” at Obst & Gemüse in Berlin as well as “GIFC" at Fisher Parrish Gallery in New York (2018).
